A shift in focus towards clean energy is similar to turning our heads away from messy, polluting forms of energy which have engulfed the skies and suffocated our environment. Yes, our push for renewables is a playbook straight out of visionaries’ hands, with a goal to re-paint our green and blue world in sustainable, innovative strokes.

Let’s first talk about solar power. Imagine this: panels, glowing under the sun as if they were a field filled with giant golden eyes, are harnessing sunlight. This isn’t some futuristic novel; it’s actually happening. Even though it’s been around for decades, conversion of sunlight to electricity is experiencing unprecedented improvements. Photovoltaic panels have become more efficient and affordable due to advances in photovoltaics. The days of wealthy homeowners decking out their roofs in solar panels are long gone. As we add more intermittent power sources like wind and solar to our grids, maintaining an uninterrupted, steady supply becomes a high wire act. Think about choreographing ballets with dancers that show up at unpredictable times. The solution? Next, there is the issue of energy-efficiency. The production of clean energy is not enough; we must also make the best use of it. While they have the appeal of being a perfect source of clean energy, generating only water as an byproduct, the plot thickens due to the challenge of producing hydrogen in an ecofriendly manner.
